Eleven Simple Ways
Your support of our school helps to ensure quality education for the students under our care. These are some easy things you can do to benefit BCS without spending extra money of your own. Encourage your family, friends, and neighbors to participate as well!
- PRAYER-This is the absolute best way you can support BCS. Please pray daily for the teachers and students!
- Labels for Education (see attached list of participating products)- This program is a way to add to our educational supplies and equipment in our classrooms. Each label you clip from participating products is worth points towards new supplies. Go to www.labelsforeducation.com for more information. Additionally as a bonus BCS can electronically collect 1 point for each participating Labels for Education® product purchased using your shopper card at Kroger or participating retailers. You can still clip and redeem UPCs to earn the face value of the Labels for Education points. Register your shopper card at the above address under the an Easier Way to Earn Points section on the home page.**
- General Mills Box Tops for Education (see attached list of participating products) - This program earns money for BCS with each product label submitted. Look on General Mills product labels for the “Box Tops for Education” cut-out. Each is worth ten cents for BCS.**
- Marsh –If you do your grocery shopping at Marsh, you can earn points that add up to dollars for BCS. If you don’t have a Marsh card you may register for a free one at Marsh.net. - Recycle –Recycle your newspapers, aluminum cans, old cell phones, and used printer cartridges. Simply bring your paper items and place them in the big yellow and green box in the parking lot located between the church and school. Aluminum cans may be placed in the blue recycle barrels located next to the newspaper recycling. Cell phones and printer cartridges may be dropped off in either the Elementary or High School Offices. BCS receives the proceeds for these items.**
- SCRIP- This is one of the most profitable ways you can financially help BCS. If you buy gasoline, groceries, eat out, visit local retail stores, travel, etc. You can help the BCS scholarship fund by purchasing SCRIP cards. For example you can order a $10 card for Applebee’s and the school receives a percentage of that amount. When you eat at Applebee’s you pay with the card that you purchased from SCRIP. It is very simple and each business that participates in the SCRIP program gives a different percentage of their profit ranging from 2%-25% to BCS. To get started purchasing SCRIP cards all you need to do is go to www.shopwithscrip.com and go the green family sign-up tab. Once you have a family account, place your order and confirm it. Write a check in the amount of your order and drop it off at school before 9 a.m. Monday. Your order will be ready for pick up on Friday at the school.
*Most stores that offer shopper reward cards have paper enrollment copies at the store. You will need to complete it and ask the store to link your card number to the school. By doing this, you benefit and BCS does as well.
**Items collected, Labels for Education, Box Tops for Education, UPC codes, old cell phones, and used printer cartridges can be brought to either the elementary, high school where there are receptacles for each item. Newspapers and aluminum cans may be placed in the receptacles located in the parking lot between the church and school.
