Child Security & SafetyThe safety and protection of our children is of high importance!
That is why we at Bethesda Baptist Church have established policies and procedures to assure a safe and secure environment for each of the children to whom we minister. In order to maintain this high level of safety and security, both parents and Children's Ministry workers must cooperate and perhaps, on occasion, suffer inconvenience.
Infants and children through second grade are the most vulnerable and for them we utilize a photo ID card for positive identification of children and their parents or guardians. When visiting a Children's Ministry for the first time, parents will complete a multi-part visitor form and retain one copy to present to our security personnel when returning to pick up their child. This form serves as a temporary ID card until a permanent ID card is issued. All infants and children through second grade will be issued a permanent photo ID card upon their third visit to Sunday School or upon receipt of an Awana registration form. Parents must present their child's ID card in order to pick up their child. If a parent does not have an ID card, security personnel will verify the identity of the parent and child through other means.
